TEDX The NorthCap University was an astounding success! And why wouldn’t it be, with such a repertoire, the event kept everyone glued to their seats. The NorthCap University recently organized the TedX The NorthCap University, 2016 at its auditorium. The event was organized around the theme, ‘Tracing the minds of influencers’. Various eminent speakers from different walks of life talked to the students and gave them the ‘Success Mantra’.

The event started at 10 am with the lighting of lamps and a speech by the curator. He was followed by the distinguished speakers, who shared their wisdom with the students. The speakers motivated the students with various ideas and concepts of success.

The capacity crowded auditorium listened to the speakers with rapt attention; it included students and faculty of The NorthCap University and students from Delhi University among others. The speakers revealed their journey of struggle and success. They stressed on sincerity, commitment and passion which helps a person to grow and reach the pinnacle of success. The students were excited to interact with the luminaries and were motivated by their words.

Vice-Chancellor of The NorthCap University, Brig. SK Sharma (Retd) said, “The University is pleased to have such personalities in the University. Their success stories were indeed inspiring and the students will be motivated to excel in their professional and personal life. Everyone has the ability to rise high. They should believe in themselves and work hard to find their place in the sun.”

The list of accomplished and notable personalities at the event included Oscar Farnandes, Politician and Senior leader of the Congress Party; Aseem Trivedi, the well-known cartoonist and activist; Padmashri Prof. Pushpesh Pant, a food critic and academician; Adil Hussain, Actor and Anubhav Wadhwa, the youngest entrepreneur in India among others.

Eminent Guests shared their views :
Padmashri Prof. Pushpesh Pant, a food critic and academician said, “Food is very important in the life and times of any society, our country today is today debating, arguing and fighting about a certain food item.” He further added that the tongue is very important, whether it is used for taste or to speak a language. “I believe Indian states should have been divided on the basis of language,” he said.

Mr. Oscar Farnandes, Politician and Senior leader of the Congress Party, encouraged students to take entrepreneurial steps, as that is the need of the hour. He said, “India, at the time of its independence, needed Roti, Kapda and Makan. We have been able to address that issue to a great extent, now the time is to build up on the resources we have in the country to achieve the dream of our leaders, say Rajiv Gandhi and A. P. J Abdul Kalam. ”

Mr. Adil Hussain, Actor of repute who has been part many local as well as international projects during his address said, “Emotions are of utmost importance, it doesn’t matter whether it is a positive emotion of happiness or a negative emotion of rage or anxiety (https://medicalbreeze.com/buy-ativan/).” He further added that we need to create a reservoir of creativity and for that more and more schools and colleges need to give a push to the liberal arts. “I request the college authorities to open up a theatre society in the college, as it will give the student an opportunity to express themselves,” said Mr. Hussain.

Commander (Retd.) Manish Tyagi, stand-up comedian and Motivational Speaker said, “”The road to success is always under construction”. He motivated the students to remain happy as it will help them to stay calm and achieve success in their life. “If you are happy within it will be seen outside and you exude confidence from your mere presence,’ he said.

Mr. Aseem Trivedi, eminent Cartoonist and social activist said, “Communication is of utmost importance, we do understand the importance of anything unless we are denied that.” He further added the need to curb the growing intolerance in the nation and the need for freedom of speech and expression. “We need to curb ourselves and allow others to express their opinion, for if we try to suppress anyone’s point of view, in the name of Nationalism, we would transgress towards Nazi belief of nationalism from the peaceful and non-violent ways of Gandhi.”

Mr. Anubhav Wadhwa, who became India’s youngest entrepreneur at the age of 13 years, shared his journey of the way forward during the last 4 years. “We today live in an era of entrepreneurial movement. What we need to take care of is that while doing so we ought to keep in mind the idea of sustainability.” He further added that technology is a tool to create change and we should work towards solving social, economic and environmental problems.
